Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg – Small Notebook Tutorial.
I promised you a tutorial and here it is, the basics are all the same and then you can decorate them any way you prefer, these are a few easy ones I came up with as examples.
I have used small notepads for these but you can use the same principles for any size you like.
Measure your notepad, mine measured length – 3 15/16″ x width – 3 1/4″ (8.3cm x 10cm),
Measure the thickness, which in this case was 1/4″ (0.5 cm), then add 1 1/2″ (4cm) for the back.
Add 1/8″ ( 0.3cm ) to the length then add this to the thickness and back allowance, which in my case was – 3 15/16 + 1/8 + 1/4 + 1 1/2 inches ( 10.0 + 0.3 + 0.5 + 4 cm ) giving a total of 5 13/16″ ( 14.8cm )
Then add 1/8″ ( 0.3cm ) to the width so – 3 1/4 + 1/8 (8.3 + 0.3) = 3 3/8″ ( 8.6cm ).
Cut your chosen card stock using these measurements – 5 13/16″ x 3 3/8″ (14.8cm x 8.6cm)
Score along the long side at 1 1/2 and 1 3/4 inches ( 4cm and 4.5cm ) – back allowance and thickness.
To utilise this for any size notepad, cut cardstock at:-
Length plus 1/8″ (0.3cm) + thickness + back allowance, 1 1/2″ (4cm) x Width plus 1/8″ (0.3cm), then score as above.
Decorate to your own taste, then fold and burnish the score lines and stick the back allowance of the card to the back of the notepad.
