Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg – Sour Cream Containers.
I love the weekend its a chance to spend time with my lovely family without them having to go to work, and a chance to spoil them a little. I decided to make them a little treat ‘Just Because’ and whats better than a cute little sour cream container with sweets inside.
They are so easy to make, and so pretty. My family are all grown up now (well in age anyway!) so I didn’t want them to look childish and decided to use the ‘Cherry on Top’ Designer Series Paper stack. It’s such lovely colourful paper, but not too girly so suitable for all.
If you would like to try these for yourself I have included instructions below, I hope they are easy to understand but any questions please leave me a comment and I will do my best to answer them.
Cut paper to 6″ x 4″ (15cm x 10cm), attach double sided tape to the back of your chosen design along both long sides and 1 short side:
Peel away the backing from the short edge and stick in to the opposite edge as a tube, overlap 1/2″ (1.2cm).
With the seam facing you, about 1/4 way along, peel away backing from the top opening and squeeze together. Fill with your chosen sweets, peel away remaining backing and turn so the bottom side edge is facing and squeeze top together to form a triangle shape as shown below.
Tie your chosen ribbon around the top, (a little tip, tie it to the side its easier to do) and then slide round into position. I used Pool party glitter ribbon for mine.
Add your chosen sentiment, for mine I used the ‘just because’ stamp from the Tin of Cards Stamp set and Bermuda Bay ink stamped onto Whisper White card, I punched it out using the Washi Label punch and punched some Bermuda bay card too. which I angled behind the sentiment and using a glue dot placed it diagonally just under the ribbon.
