Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg – Nail File holder, bag protector.
I like to have a nail file in my bag in case I break a nail, I hate little jagged bits that make me want to pick at them. But just left in the bottom of my bag they scratch things in there and get mucky quickly, then I remembered these little holders I had seen on youTube a while ago. I saw a few different versions so kind of mixed the ideas and used my own measurements to fit the files I had.
For mine I cut the paper to – 2 3/4″ x 5″ (7 x 12.5cm)
and the card to – 1 3/8″ x 4 3/4″ (4.5 x 12 cm)
I rounded the edges of the card, then scored the paper at:
Long side – 4 1/2″ (11.5cm)
Short side – 1 1/8″ and 2 1/4″ (3cm and 6cm)
On the short side cut out the left and right side and wedge into the middle one as shown.
with the back facing you, fold the right side across the middle, glue the left side and then fold over to join as shown, glue the small tab at the bottom and fold that over also.
Using a circle punch, I used a 1″ one, make a notch in the top, then using a strong adhesive like fuse or tear and tape on the back of it stick it to the card base as in picture below.
Put a small hole in the end of your nail file and thread through your chosen ribbon, add your decoration and there you go, a lovely little nail file protector for your bag, useful and pretty!
My nail file is 1/2″ (1cm) at its widest point and 4 1/2″ long (11.5cm), If yours is wider or longer add as needed.
I hope this all makes sense, I know a video would be easier to understand but firstly I havent a clue where to start and secondly not sure I’m confident for that yet, but I am determined to give it a go soon. (grimaces in fear) 🙂
Take care everyone and have a great day.
