Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg – Treat Box Tutorial ‘Sneak Peek’ Layering Love.

20160509_094122-1-1

I promised you another sneak peek from the new catalogue, and here it is with a photo tutorial on how to make it. It’s a lovely little treat box in two of the gorgeous new in colours – Sweet Sugarplum and Flirty Flamingo. And a brand new stamp set – Layering Love, there are 4 fab wordings in the set I have used two here, and two little cute stamps, one of them is the tiny heart I have added to the inside.

You need a piece of card, 8″ x 5 1/8″ (20.5 x 13 cm)

Score at :-

Long Side – 1″, 3 1/2″, 4 1/2″ and 7″  (2.5, 9, 11.5 and 18 cm)

Short Side – 1″ and  4 1/8″ (2.5 and 10.5 cm)

Fold and Burnish the score lines, then cut as shown wedging slightly into the small tabs.

Fold and glue as shown, I used tombow but Tear and Tape or Fuse could be used instead

Cut two pieces of Whisper White card, 3″ x 2 3/8″ (7.5 x 6 cm). Stamp with your choice of wording, here I used two of the Layering Love stamps, plus on ‘enjoy the little things’ I added some small hearts. Adhere the top panel to the box and glue the tabs as shown. Using a 1″ circle punch make a notch on the front as above.

Glue the inside panel into the lid, and fill box with your treat. I added some tissue paper and 5 chocolate hearts. Punch 7 small flowers, I used the tiny flower on the Tree Builder punch but any small flower would be fine. Use a piercing mat or similar to shape the flowers with a rounded tool, and add a small pearl to each.

Add the flowers to the top of the box either as shown or however you would prefer them, I then used Wink of Stella to give them a glitter effect. And now you have a lovely little treat box, It could also be used as a gift box for a small present. I know what will happen to mine, I have two chocolate mad daughters who will be hinting for them, and I’m a sucker for their sweet cheeky grins ❤

I am so looking forward to the new catalogue coming out on the 1st of June, at the moment we can only get a small selection of the new things in it and there are so many fantastic new products I so want to try. I still have a couple more things to show you but not many, but will have another sneak peek to show you next week.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, If there is anything that wasn’t clear please leave me a comment and I will answer any questions and try and help as best as possible.

Happy Crafting

Lynn x

The new products used for the sneak peak can not be purchased until the 1st June, but to purchase any of the other products featured in my blog that are not new but are continuing in the new catalogue, click on the links below, this will take you to my shop page.

Remember if you do order, add the hostess code which is shown top right (or at the bottom on mobiles), as at the end of the month I will close off this code and anyone who has used it will get a Stampin’ Up! product in the post from me.
This will not come in with your order as it is directly from me, this is as well as a little thank you card and handmade gift that I send as a thank you each month you order from me just for being a customer, I am so humbled by people choosing me to purchase from and it is my way of trying to show this.
Please make sure you allow contact as if you do not I will not be able to send you this.
If your order is over £150 please do not use the code as you will get the hostess benefits yourself with your order.

  1. Thank you so much for sharing.
I am a Stampin Up Demonstrator in Colorado, and so glad you shared this idea.
I’ve looked at a lot of ideas, but some do not leave the information to create the idea.
    So I appreciate your sharing.
