Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg – Gift tags using the Scalloped Tag Punch
A bit later than I hoped for but here is today’s crafty blog as promised. I felt it was much more important to concentrate on this mornings blog post first, as it is for such a good cause.
I have been looking at the lacy pattern stamp every time I go in my craft cupboard, but couldn’t come up with how I wanted to use it, till today when I thought how nice it would look as a bottom border on something, and tags sprung to mind. The stamp is part of the Grateful Bunch stamp set, and it has some gorgeous stamps in so I stuck to that set for all the stamping.
They were so easy to make too, I cut two long 2″ strips of both Night of Navy and Whisper White and two 1 7/8″ strips of Whisper White.
The 2″ strips were then cut to 3 7/8″ lengths ( I used that length because it meant I could get three from each strip) The other strip was cut into 3″ lengths.
I used the Scalloped Top Punch on 1 end of all the longer lengths, then rounded the corners on the other end.
For the smaller pieces I first stamped the lace pattern in Night of Navy Ink, then rounded all the corners.I then stamped a butterfly on each one trying to put them slightly differently each time and then added a piece of Tip Top Taupe Dotted Lace Trim and then stuck these to the Night of Navy tags.
I stamped and punched out flowers using the Blossom Bunch Punch and added them to the tags as shown and added a few Rhinestone basic jewels. With the Whisper White tag behind the decorated tag I added matching ribbon to the top.
I love the way these have turned out, when I make tags I always make more than I need and keep a stock of different ones in my craft cupboard, you never know when it might come in handy, like tomorrow for instance…………..
As always Happy Crafting
