Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg – Day one with Sprinkles of Life
I was stood in front of my craft cupboard wondering what I could make and nothing was coming to mind, my crafting mojo was having a day off! I find the best thing to do when this happens is to take the ‘choice’ aspect out of the equation. I stood in front of my stamp sets with my eyes closed and picked one at random, I then did the same with my ink colours and picked 2 of them.
I ended up with the Sprinkles of Life stamp set plus Wisteria Wonder and Old olive inks. At this point I was sure I had no chance of coming up with anything, as the stamps in the Sprinkles of Life set have always made me think more of cupcakes and ice creams, and the two colours I had picked out just didn’t seem right for that.
Luckily there are loads of stamps in this set with 2 of them being the trunk and leaves of a tree, so I decided to use the tree as the main focus and with just 1 little cheat of the trunk in Crumb Cake ink I stuck with the main theme for the rest.
I used the Tree Builder punch with corresponds with the stamp set, added a piece of Cherry on Top Designer Series paper in Old Olive and a few little embellishments. As much as it’s not my favourite card I’ve made I think its turned out ok, I hope you think so too.
So thats day one, tomorrow I will use the same stamp set but different colours again picked with my eyes closed, fingers crossed for a good match. If you find yourself with no ideas try this you might be surprised what the outcome is. I would love to see what you come up with.
