Grateful Bunch of Cute Little Treat Boxes.

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg – Cute little treat box using New In Colors paired with old favourites.

I love the new 2016 – 2018 In Colors and wanted to see how they mixed in with the rest of the Stampin’ Up! colour collection. I also wanted to do this little treat box, they say the best things come in small packages and each of these contain a lovely chocolate heart.

I love messing with numbers so coming up with box sizes is just up my street, and I love crafting so putting both of these together is so much fun. But the best part is being able to share this with others.

I have card and ink in all 5 new In Colors, but up to now only have 3 of the ribbons – Sweet Sugarplum, Flirty Flamingo and Dapper Denim so used these colours for my boxes. I also wanted to try mixing them with colours we already had so these are my colour combinations:

  • Sweet Sugarplum with Rose Red
  • Flirty Flamingo with Watermelon Wonder
  • Dapper Denim with Mint Macaron

I love the way they turned out, if you want to try some for yourself here are the instructions

Card – 4 1/8″ x 2 5/8″

Designer Series Paper – 2 pieces, 1 1/4″ x 1 1/4″

Ribbon – 7″

Score at:

Long – 1 3/8″,  1 7/8″, 3 1/4″,  3 3/4″

Short – 1/2″,  1 7/8″,  2 3/8″

Fold and Burnish all score lines

Cut as shown, notch into the smaller tabs.

Adhere paper squares as shown, use a small circle punch to notch out a small semi circle where shown.

Turn so the inside is facing you. Add Fast Fuse, or other strong adhesive to the end tab shown above.

Keeping in the same position bring the right side over and press in place.

On the bottom fold the two small tabs in, then the back. Put Fuse on the last tab before lining it up and folding in.

Your box should now look like this.

Add your chocolate heart or chosen treat and close the box.

Stamp some Whisper White card with the ink colour to match your box, in this case Sweet Sugarplum, using the Grateful Bunch Stamp set.

Use the blossom punch to punch out the large and small flowers from Whisper White card, and the medium flower out of the card to match the paper colour in this case Rose Red.

Layer the flower as shown, now wrap your ribbon round your box, tie some Thick White Bakers Twine around at the top and cut diagonally into the ends of your ribbon.

Add a couple of glue dots to the back of the flower, making sure to keep to the middle and then place the flower in the middle of the ribbon (making sure not to glue to the box). Add your chosen embellishment to the centre of the flower.

The ribbon band slides on and off to allow access to the box.

I am looking forward to trying out some more colour combinations soon, but will design a different box to share with you all. If there is anything you are not sure of, let me know and I will do my best to help.  I like to include a little treat in my thank you packs for my customers, so if you place an order with me as your demonstrator you may well get one of these or some other little treat, as well as a card from me.

To purchase any of the products featured in my blog click on the links below, this will take you to my shop page. (New 2016 – 2018 In Colors available from 1st June).

Remember if you do order, add the hostess code which is shown top right (or at the bottom on mobiles), as at the end of the month I will close off this code and anyone who has used it will get a Stampin’ Up! product in the post from me.
This will not come in with your order as it is directly from me, this is as well as a little thank you card and handmade gift that I send as a thank you each month you order from me just for being a customer, I am so humbled by people choosing me to purchase from and it is my way of trying to show this.
Please make sure you allow contact as if you do not I will not be able to send you this.
If your order is over £150 please do not use the code as you will get the hostess benefits yourself with your order.
