Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg – Pop of Pink with One Big Meaning
Although this is still a fairly quick card, It ended up with more to it than originally planned, I think the excitement of ordering from the new catalogue occupied my mind much more than it should have.
Its pretty simple though, the extra time was adding the sequins and putting a backing behind the sentiment. I used half an A4 sheet of card cut vertically and folded. I then added washi tape to the top and bottom edges from the Pop of Pink Suite.
In the Pop of Pink Speciality Designer Series Paper pack, there are two one sided sheets that are thicker than the rest and have a gold foil design on them, I used one of them for my main panel cutting it narrower than the card base and popping it up on dimensionals, to just cover the edge of the washi tape. I added another different piece of washi tape from the same set in the centre and wrapped a piece of Melon Mambo thick bakers twine round and tied in a bow close to the right side edge. I then stamped the Thank You sentiment in Melon Mambo on a narrow strip of Whisper White card and eyeballed the banner ends.
That was supposed to be it, but it just didn’t look right so I added Melon Mambo card behind the sentiment and a couple of sequins, hence the extra time. I am glad I did though because it made such a difference and was worth that little bit of extra work.
I hope you have had time to look at the new catalogue, it is fab and has so many lovely ideas in it, the Pop of Pink Suite is in there plus so much more.
