Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg – Affectionately Yours, Say it with flowers
You are loved (A LOT), this is how I feel about the new Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Paper. I love it all but this one is especially nice, with shiny copper foil accents and such a lovely mix of colours.
How gorgeous is this paper, I’m looking forward to doing some more projects with the rest of these. I think I have showed you 4 of the 12 designs up to now so plenty more to play with.
My diagonal slash card was inspired by projects I had seen on pinterest and Youtube. I was amazed by how effective a simple cut could be. I cut my usual card base of half a sheet of A4 scored and burnished in the middle. I decided I wanted my gap to be 1″ wide, I usually cut my panel 1/8″ less than the base on width and length, but for this card I just took an extra inch off my length. Then just cut this panel in half on an angle so I had a diagonal cut. Then I added these two pieces to the card base using dimensionals and lining up on the outside edges to leave a 1″ open diagonal gap. I stamped my sentiment inside the gap and added flowers and metallic thread to finish.
I added a bit of matching washi tape to the edge inside the card just for an extra touch. This card could be adapted so many ways for any occasion. Effective but easy!
This set of paper was one that I got from our pre order selection, but now the new catalogue is live I have some more designs on the way as well as new stamp sets and lots more, I am looking forward to trying them out and showing you all.
