Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg – Long notepad, Love and Affection.
This notepad came about because I wanted a little gift to put with yesterdays card (here). I have used some Designer Series Paper from the Subtles collection in Elegant Eggplant to match the main colour from the card.
The sentiment was stamped from the same stamp set, Love and Affection, and punched out using the Decorative Label punch. I also stamped some of the flowers around the sentiment, and stamped a flower on to some Whisper White card and ‘fussy cut’ it out for the bottom corner of my note pad.
I added some Whisper White Organza Ribbon, and a few Rhinestone basic jewels. I now have a lovely little gift to give to someone with yesterdays card, that someone could be you. I will be sending this set to the next person who places an order with me (I wont write on the card, then it can be used by whoever gets it) This is just a little extra treat to go with my usual customer thank you cards and gifts.
I took a photo of how I measured for the cover for these notepads, and have also repeated instructions below from my last notepad to explain how to measure for any size. I hope these are easily understood and I haven’t confused you all 🙂
To measure for your notepad cover:-
- Measure length of notepad and add 1/8″ (this will also be your first score line so jot it down).
- Measure thickness at top (add this to above and it will give your second score line)
- Add 2″ for the overlap on the back.
- Add these 3 measurements together to get the length of cardstock needed.
- Now measure the width and add about 1/8″ (a bit less is ok but not more) This will be the width to cut.
Score at measurements from stage 1 and 2, fold and burnish.
Add glue to the back of the overlap (3) and carefully add it to the back of your notepad.
The cover will be slightly wider for good coverage and slightly longer to make it easier to open.
It’s a very busy time for me at the moment, I will be moving house in just over 2 weeks so busy packing up all our stuff, but also going on holiday so have to pack for that too. I certainly have my work cut out for me. I have also been busy trying to make sure I have enough projects made for my blog, I have been blogging every day and am so happy that people come to see my work that I really don’t want to miss any. If for any chance I do have to I will make sure its only ever one day at a time but fingers crossed I will manage.
I have made 4 different notepads today, so will be sharing the others with you all each saturday for the next 3 weeks. They are all the long skinny ones which are great for shopping lists, or wish lists of what you want from the fab new catalogue. I have a very long wish list 🙂
Happy Crafting everyone
