Just a note, week 4 : Lots of love, Emerald Envy

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg – Long notepad, Emerald Envy with Lots of Love.

This is the last in my series of long notepads, and I reckon I have saved the best (and cutest) till last. For some reason I call this cute little frog Fred, I just think the name suits him. (And I am a bit crazy so why not 🙂 ).

I have used Emerald Envy card for my notepad base and 2 of the designs from the 2016 – 2018 In Color Designer Series paper stack again in Emerald Green for my paper panels. I have added some Whisper White 5/8″ Organza Ribbon to cover the join. I stamped the sentiment using A grateful bunch stamp set and Tin of cards stamp set onto Whisper White card, then used the Decorative Label punch and added a couple of stamped stars and some Enamel stars. I felt it needed something else so added some matching Bakers Twine and ribbon under the bottom right corner.

I stamped ‘Fred’ and coloured him using a blender pen, then cut him out using the 1 3/4″ circle punch. I love the finished notebook its so cute. I hope you have enjoyed my notepads and much as I enjoyed making them.

Here is all 4 notepads together.

I have repeated the notepad instructions from the last 3 weeks:-

I took a photo of how I measured for the cover for these notepads, and have also repeated instructions below from my last notepad to explain how to measure for any size. I hope these are easily understood and I haven’t confused you all:)

To measure for your notepad cover:-

Measure length of notepad and add 1/8″ (this will also be your first score line so jot it down).
Measure thickness at top (add this to above and it will give your second score line)
Add 2″ for the overlap on the back.
Add these 3 measurements together to get the length of cardstock needed.
Now measure the width and add about 1/8″ (a bit less is ok but not more) This will be the width to cut.
Score at measurements from stage 1 and 2, fold and burnish.

Add glue to the back of the overlap (3) and carefully add it to the back of your notepad.

The cover will be slightly wider for good coverage and slightly longer to make it easier to open.

There is only 1 more notebook in this series left to show you, I will be planning another series of something soon, again it will be 1 item shown a few different ways.

Happy Crafting everyone
