Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg – Quick Wedding card using Beautiful Banners
The Beautiful Banners stamp set is so versatile, I used it to make a banner for my two daughters birthday and they loved it.
I wanted to try a wedding card using it but initially thought it would be no good for quick card Thursday because wedding cards need lots too them. Then I thought ‘why not’ I love a good challenge. I’m really happy with the outcome and it was definitely quick to make.
I picked 2 colours that weren’t traditional wedding card colours, I wanted a bigger challenge I guess? I used Dapper Denim and Mint Macaron.
I started with a Dapper Denim card base (A sheet of A4 cut in half Horizontally then scored and folded in half) My DSP layer was a lovely design from Blooms and Bliss, I love this set it is gorgeous, I made the layer 1/8″ smaller.
I stamped my banner with Mint Macaron ink on Mint Macaron card for a lovely tone on tone effect, then stamped the lovely words from Lewis Carol and distressed the edges of the banner in Dapper Denim , I also stamped the sentiment straight on to the DSP layer and a small design at the bottom all from the Beautiful Banners Stamp set.
I do have the matching Banners framelits dies but this is a quick card and getting out the Big Shot and framelits etc just for this one little banner would have took time, and to be fair this banner is really easy to cut out by hand, just follow the design edges.
All that was left to do was to add a couple of enamel shapes and a bow in Dapper Denim.
I love the way this turned out and how quickly it was made, If you had plenty of time and wanted to add more to it then you could add some extra layers under the DSP and the Banner to make them stand out more but I think its perfect as it is, what do you think?
