I love giving Yankee Candles as gifts, even better when they are in a pretty gift bag and this one is nice and easy to make. I have used the Blooms & Bliss Suite again as it is just so gorgeous.

Cut a piece of DSP to 8 1/2″ x 8″

Score on 8″ side: – 2″ and 7″

Score on 8 1/2″ side: 2″, 4″, 6″and 8″ then go back and score lightly to about 2 1/2″ down at 1″, 3″, 5″ and 7″.

Fold and burnish all the full score lines but not the shorter ones.

With the longest side at the top and the smallest panel on the right hand side, fold the first section towards you so that the back of the paper shows.

With the paper in the same position cut up the score lines to the first fold, cutting out the smallest panel at the end as shown.

Glue the small column at the end.

Then fold the right side across and press down to adhere.

With the back facing you, fold in the two side flaps then the back. glue the front flap well and fold in to create the base.

With the front facing you squeeze the top together (the shorter score lines will fold in, gently push them with your finger).

Using a 1/8″ circle punch, place 2 holes as shown.

Gently push in the remaining short score lines, this will create an X shape at the top, thread your ribbon through each hole then tie in a bow and trim ends.

Die cut or punch 2 circles:

Whisper White, 1 3/4″ Island Indigo, 1 7/8″.

Stamping: Blooms & Wishes stamp set, Island Indigo, Sahara Sand and Mint Macaron ink. Distress edges with Island Indigo.

Adhere your sentiment to your Island Indigo circle, then using dimensionals add to your gift bag.

And that’s it finished, isn’t it cute.

This used a lot of a 12 x 12 sheet of DSP leaving a couple of strips and I hate to see waste so tomorrows project will use more of the same sheet. And if there is any left I will use it the day after too!, we all need to get the most from our money so using up our leftover bits of DSP is definitely more cost effective.

Talking about making the most of your money, Stampin’ Up! have a fabulous offer at the moment, click the picture below to find out more. (ends 31st August)

I hope my instructions are clear enough but if you have any problems with them please get in touch and I will help best I can.

Happy Crafting
