Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg – Night of Navy week, Day 2, Ferrero Gift box : Affectionately Yours.
Day 2 brings a lovely little gift box that holds four Ferrero Rocher, I always think Night of Navy makes things look more elegant, ‘posh’ even. So what better treat to put in it than Ferrero’s, and just had to be gold ribbon.
I still haven’t braved doing a video yet so just a photo tutorial as usual, I will brave it eventually…..I hope!!!
My working out for the box size, I put my 4 chocs together as they would be in the box this gave me my base size, then sideways to give me my height. So I needed my box to be 3″ x 3″ with a height of 1 1/2″.
I drew these measurements on my paper and worked out I needed a piece of card 6″ x 6″ for my box, and 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ for my lid.
Score your base at 1 1/2″ on all sides and you lid at 3/4″ on all sides. Cut your DSP at 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″ and then 4 pieces all at 5/8″ x 2 7/8″ (I have used Affectionately Yours DSP because it has this gorgeous Night of Navy and Crumb Cake design)
Cut your score lines as shown and make a small wedge in the side pieces, Can you spot what I did wrong? I then added fuse to my tabs before remembering I still had to add my DSP to the lid, oops!! I had to be careful sticking the DSP on not to get myself stuck to the fuse.
Put together by folding in your glued tabs under the middle tabs to get your box shape, then repeat with the lid.
Cut a piece of Night of Navy card 1″ x 2 1/2″, then a piece of Crumb Cake card 1/8″ smaller, so 7/8″ x 2 3/8″, stamp your chosen sentiment on the Crumb Cake card, I used this lovely one from the Love & Affection Stamp set.
Round all the corners, then adhere them together, add 2 dimensionals to the back as shown, don’t put any in the middle as this space has to allow the ribbon under it.Stick your sentiment on to your box lid as shown below.
Add your chocolates to the box, tie some ribbon around making it long enough to go round twice.
Tie in a lovely little bow and thats it done. A gorgeous ‘posh’ little treat for someone special.
I hope my instructions make sense, if not let me know and I will do my best to explain it better.
