Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg : WWC79 – Kath’s Sketch Challenge – Jar of Love, Irresistibly Floral.
I really enjoyed taking part in the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge a few weeks ago, and was over the moon for my card to be picked as the winner it was such an honour and made me feel really proud of myself. Which is a challenge in itself as I am usually my own worst critic and have no faith whatsoever in my own abilities, so thank you WWC for lifting my self esteem that week.
I have wanted to take part the last two weeks but have just not found the time so this week I made sure I did.
There is a different challenge each week starting on a Wednesday. Click on the picture below to go to the challenge and see what its all about for yourselves, maybe even take part as its lots of fun and everyone is so lovely.
The challenge this week is a sketch challenge and a first for me again so was lots of fun to do, and it was a great opportunity to use the Irresistibly Floral Specialty DSP again, which has a pattern that stays white when inked. I chose three of the designs and sponged them all lightly with Soft Sky.
I love the effect it gives isn’t it just gorgeous and the colour is lush. I used Soft Sky as my card base with a layer of Dapper Denim. I then arranged my sponged paper as in the sketch.
I have just got these lovely cute doilies so of course had to use one as my circle, and I have just received the lovely Burlap Ribbon and Linen Thread as part of my gift off my lovely upline for reaching Bronze Elite status as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator so wanted to use them too. I added the bit of Dapper Denim ribbon to bring the colours all together, then added the lovely jar from the Jar of Love bundle, I love the little ‘Best Fishes’ sentiment.
The top looked a bit bare so I added a Happy Birthday Banner, I added a few Dapper Denim Enamel shapes, the two with the fish I intended to be little air bubbles but they also look like little thought bubbles leading to the sentiment…. cute!
So that’s my card done, I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it.
