Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg – In Color Favour Bag : Blooms & Wishes For You – With instructions.20160806_123251-1

Happy Monday everyone, I hope you have had a lovely weekend. I wanted to start the week with these cute ‘favour’ bags or treat bags using the lovely 2016 – 2018 In Color Designer Series Paper stack. I have used Sweet Sugarplum and Flirty Flamingo for these, the Flirty Flamingo on the right was the first one I made, but I decided it needed to be a little shorter and a little deeper which I have done with the Sweet Sugarplum (left).

Here’s how I made it:

Cut the DSP – 9″ x 7 1/4″

Score:  Long side – 1/2″, 1 1/4″, 4 1/2″ and 6″

               Short side –  1/2″, 1 1/2″ and  6″

Fold and Burnish, place paper wrong side facing with long side at the top and skinny edge to the right.

Cut up lines to first score line, cut out small rectangle on right and slightly wedge into small tabs as shown.

Run glue down the right side of the skinny edge, fold over from the left to stick down.

On the bottom fold the small tabs in, then the back tab, add glue to the wrong side of the front tab and stick down. Nip sides together at the top then gently run fingers down the sides.

Cut a rectangle for the tag, mine is 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″, I used the Blooms & Wishes stamp set with the flowers under the sentiment stamped off first.

I then folded the top of my favour bag, fold the first score line over and then over again on the second score line, I added Whisper White Organza ribbon round the bag and then tied Sweet Sugarplum ribbon and White bakers twine around the top to keep the bag closed, this just slides off so doesnt have to be undone. I then added my tag and was finished.

Another alternative for closing the bag is the way I did my Flirty Flamingo one, I used a piece of Flirty Flamingo ribbon and some White organza ribbon, folded them in half and added them at the top keeping them and the tag on with a lovely bow paper clip. I think both way work equally well.

Which do you prefer? Im going to make some Christmas design ones to put little gifts in for my family for under the tree, ooooh talking of Christmas gets me all excited I love it. I will be starting my Christmas projects very soon and will be sharing them with you all.

Happy Crafting
