As of 5 a.m. this morning I didn’t have a project for you today, I had a really busy day yesterday with my craft fair, an unexpected busy evening and to top it all off had the start of a cold and ended up in bed by half 9 which for me is unheard of. So by 5 this morning I was wide awake, still full of cold but wanting to craft.

I decided quick and easy, clean & simple was the way to go. I picked out the Flower shop stamp set, the Tin of Cards stamp set and Elegant Eggplant ink along with Whisper White card. I decided to make 4″ x 4″ cards I like this size for my ‘Just in case’, box I always like to have extra cards because you never know when someone will need one.

I cut my panel 1/8″ smaller (as usual), I first stamped the flowers these were stamped off first and then my sentiment without stamping off, I wanted this darker. I love the way stamping your stamp off on scrap first makes it look like your using a different shade without the expense of buying one, and also means you keep your colour coordination.

I distressed the edges using the same colour and then added it to my card base using dimensionals but it could also be glued straight on if you don’t have these.

That was it done, so quick and easy, I decided to do a few more so used Rose Red and Island Indigo for these but stuck to the same two stamp sets just using different stamps out of the set.

I am now off to get myself a nice hot mug of lemsip and sit and relax while I wait for the rest of my family to get up. We are off to Ikea today, Ikea breakfast followed by a nice long look round, my favourite kind of Sunday. Have a great day everyone.

Happy Crafting
