A little scrappy tag full of Sunshine Wishes

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg – A little scrappy tag full of Sunshine Wishes

Every so often I like to make something to use up all my scraps, I hate to waste anything so unless it’s just far too small it goes in a box to be used when needed. Sometimes my box starts to get a bit full so I will make something to purposefully use some of it and yesterday was one of those days.

I had some thin strips of Thick Whisper White card that were just over 2″ wide which gave me the idea of making the tags as they need to be 2″, so I trimmed them down and cut them into six  4″ pieces then used the Tag Topper Punch on one end of each.

I had picked out some scraps of card in Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight and Soft Sky so used these colours on each tag to stamp the flower from the Sunshine Sayings stamp set, I just wanted a light image of these so stamped them off on some scrap first.

Using my card scraps, I die cut some of the words and the butterflies using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits dies. I also picked out some scraps of DSP and Ribbon to match.

I rounded my bottom corners before I layered the DSP, ribbon and words diagonally and secured them with staples, this seems to be a trend that I really wasn’t sure of but decided to give it a go for these and I think I am converted, I really like the effect and it keeps my words on securely.

I stamped different sentiments on each tag trying to match them to my words, I think I was a little close to the edge with the one above… oops.

I added my butterfly and ribbon but thought they were missing a little something, I added some enamel stars (a bit of a cheat as these were not from my scrap box but hey, why not) I think this made just the difference I needed to call these done.

So that’s my ‘little scrappy tags finished, I’m really quite pleased with them. I hope you all keep your scraps too, you never know when you will be able to use them for a project.

Happy Crafting
