Today I am really excited to be taking part in the Pootler’s Blog Hop, this is the first time I have taken part in a blog hop so I hope it all goes according to plan and I don’t mess it up somehow (fingers crossed).
Today’s Blog is showcasing the new Autumn-Winter Catalogue, from which I chose the gorgeous Fancy Frost suite and the cute little snowman from the Jar of Cheer stamp set, isn’t he adorable.
For my card base I chose Soft Sky, I cut a panel of Fancy Frost DSP and with a sponge softly rubbed with Soft Sky ink and distressed the edges, the DSP is gorgeous with raised patterns, this one looks like snowflakes so was ideal for this card.
I stamped my snowman from the Jar of Cheer stamp set in Smoky Slate on to Whisper White card and again on to scrap paper. I cut the snowman out of the scrap paper and placed it on top of my other one then used a sponge and Soft Sky ink to dab some colour around the snowman, then added some ‘snow’ falling using the stamp from the set, before colouring the hat and scarf and layering on to Soft Sky card.
My sentiment is from the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set, stamped in Smoky Slate and layered on to Soft Sky card. I added my layers to my card on an angle as well as some silver ribbon and sequins that were from the Fancy Frost suite, these are Soft Sky sequins but they also have Sweet Sugarplum and White Gold in the pack.
My snowman is called Bob, don’t have a clue why other than it looks like it should be called Bob and is oh so cute.
So that’s my project I hope you like it. Thank you so much for visiting my blog today.
