Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg – Christmas Table / Craft Fair Favours : Ferrero Box, Copper Accents
I love a hint of metallic in my projects and especially the gorgeous copper, there are lots of copper products in this years Stampin Up catalogues but my favourites are the specialty Designer Series Papers with the gorgeous copper pattern running through and the copper foil sheets which are part of the Affectionately Yours and Petals & Paisleys Suites.
I wanted to showcase these lovely DSP’s on some little boxes and this is what I came up with, its a perfect size for 1 ferrero rocher chocolate. I am going to make some of these for my Christmas Table favours and also make lots for my Christmas Craft fairs I think they will be quite popular as they are just so eyecatching.
Card: 6 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ (plus for insert – 2 3/8″ x 2 3/8″)
Copper foil: 4 pieces – 1 3/8″ x 1 3/8″ and 2 pieces 1 3/8″ x 5/8″
DSP: 4 pieces – 1 1/4″ x 1 1/4″ and 2 pieces 1 1/4″ x 1/2″
Score: Long side – 1 1/2″, 3″, 4 1/2″, 6″ Short side – 1 1/2″, 3″
Fold and Burnish all score lines, cut up all lines to the first score, cut off thin panels and wedge in as shown above.
Layer copper foil and DSP pieces.
Adhere these pieces as shown above, add fast fuse or strong adhesive to small tab and fold as shown then fold other side over to join. Fold in the two sides of the base then the back, add fast fuse to the front flap and fold over the others to create the base.
Turn the box the right way, fold in the two sides, place a 1/8″ hole in the front and back flaps as shown.
With your piece of card for the insert score at 1/2″ on all sides, punch out a 1 1/4″ hole, fold and burnish, cut up the right side score to the fold turn and repeat on all sides, glue each of these tabs and join to make the ferrero holder as shown. Place inside your box.
Add your ferrero rocher, fold in the side flaps then thread some ribbon through the two holes and tie in a bow to close the top.
Add your chosen embellishments, I added a couple of flowers on the top and a butterfly on the front again showing off the gorgeous copper.
Isn’t it such a cute little box, I need to make some little place settings to go with these and some crackers but that will have to keep for another day, I have to go and pack now for a couple of days away with my friends who apart from one are not into crafting so I wont get away with doing any while I’m away, how will I cope 🙂 I will have to make up for it with a full days crafting when I get home!
