Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg – Holly Jolly Layers with Stitched Shape Framelits : Christmas Gift Tags.
I have finally got round to starting my Christmas present wrapping, or at least the few I have managed toget up to now, think I need another shopping trip (Yay – love shopping). I got some lovely plain foil wrapping paper that reminds me a lot of Stampin’ Up! Real Red and I love this with Emerald Envy, they just go so well together, so what better colour combination for my tags than these.
I am forever comparing things to Stampin’ Up! colours these days, I was at a craft fair last weekend and on one of the stalls was a gorgeous scarf in Sweet Sugarplum, when I was hinting to my daughters for it for Christmas they just laughed and said “you mean pink?” no…… I mean Sweet Sugarplum 🙂 they just smiled as if to say ‘shes at it again’.
For my tags I used the Holly Jolly Layers stamp set, and stamped then die cut them using the Stitched Shape framelits. I love this framelits set at is features 3 different shapes – Squares, Ovals and Circles and each shape is in 4 different sizes so can be used for so many things.
I used the largest die for my base in my chosen colour, then alternated the sizes as shown above, I also die cut the second largest shape in Whisper White to use on the back and stamped these with to: and from: I then built up my tags using glue to adhere the second and third size of each tag and dimensionals on the rest to make it stand out more.
I punched a hole for my ribbon and threaded some gorgeous Emerald Envy taffeta ribbon through *sneak peek, this ribbon will be available from the Spring/Summer catalogue which goes live on the 4th January, isn’t it lush. I also used some Real Red bakers twine tied around in a bow. Finally I added some Wink of Stella to the Sleigh, Reindeer and ‘MERRY’ although I don’t think it shows up much on these pictures but really is lovely when the light hits it.
So that’s six tags done but I need more, so next week I will be making some different ones and of course will share them with you all.
