Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg – Candy Cane Lane : Super Quick Christmas Craft Fair Makes
This is my last Christmas craft fair project this year as I have just done my last craft fair, well not really my craft fair my daughter was holding it.
She was raising money for Mind, and was doing a tombola and also had a small Christmas craft area, I had already made some bits for her when I made my own craft fair stuff, but needed a few more bits and didn’t have a lot of time to do them so wanted something really quick and easy, and these were definitely that!
They proved very popular on the stall so will certainly be doing them for next years Christmas craft fairs.
The Candy Cane Lane Suite is just so awesome I really hope they bring it back next year, it has been my most used Christmas stuff and I couldn’t imagine my Christmas crafting without it.
I stamped my three images on to Whisper White and Crumb Cake card, doing a full card of each (Santa and Gingerbread Man on Whisper White, and Reindeer on Crumb Cake) and then passed them over to my two daughters for the colouring in, at 22 and 30 they still love a bit of colouring and it meant I could get on with sorting the ribbon and bakers twine out and putting it on to my candy canes.
I added Fast Fuse on to the back of my punch out, from one hand over to the other, I then placed my candy cane on top before gluing another punch out the same way and adding it on top joining the hands and arms together, and that is pretty much it, by using two figures back to back it doesn’t matter if the candy cane twirls round on the tree it still looks good.
The tombola and craft fair went well and Sara raised £72 for Mind, and she still has lots of tombola prizes to do another one next year, I am so proud of her she has suffered with mental illness on and off for the last 15 years but is just one of the nicest and most thoughtful young ladies you could wish to meet. In fact I am blessed with all three of my children they are amazing (yes I am biased after all I am their mother 🙂 ).
