Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg – Quick Card Thurday : Endless Birthday Wishes.
Well here it is again, quick card Thursday, it comes around too quickly at the moment as each one is another week closer to Christmas and I have so much still to do. I tell myself every year that I am going to get everything sorted a lot sooner ‘next’ Christmas, but it never works out that way 🙂
This week I have made two cards, which each took less than 5 minutes to make, coming up with the ideas took a lot longer but once I knew what I was going to do they were done in no time.
I used the Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set for both cards, I love the font on this set and the cake image is so easy to work with and just screams birthday. I picked out a couple of striped papers and picked out three colours from each paper, one for the card base and two for the stamping.
I cut a sheet of A4 in half and then scored and folded that in half, I decided to do these two cards the two different ways cutting one vertically and one horizontally. My DSP was cut at 1/8″ smaller than my card base, and I used the 2″ Circle punch to punch out a circle at the top of each piece.
I used snail to adhere this to my card base before stamping my cake image inside each circle and used a blender pen to just colour one part of the cake, leaving it quite basic.
I then stamped my sentiments within the stripes, this wouldn’t have to be striped paper but it would have to be quite light so as to show up the stamping.
I love quick easy cards that still look like they took effort even if it was only a little 🙂 To check out the papers and ink colours I used see my supply list below.
To give the credit where its due I would have to say that Stampin’ Up! does all the work for me, or at least makes my crafting a lot easier, the fact that I can match up the card, paper and ink so easily makes everything look so much more professional, and to make things more detailed on these cards I could have added matching embellishments and ribbons.
