Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg : Pootlers Spring/Summer Catalogue Launch Blog Hop : Falling in Love & All Things Thanks – Wedding Favours
I am very excited to be part of today’s Pootlers Blog Hop, where I have the pleasure of sharing my project with you along side 17 very lovely and talented ladies. We are all part of the fantastic Pootles’ team, and have come together for this blog hop to share projects from the new Spring/Summer 2017 catalogue. The links to the other projects are near the bottom of this blog, please take a look as there are some fantastic ideas from everyone.
Since getting the Falling in Love suite of products from the new Spring/Summer catalogue I have been itching to do something wedding related with them, so this seemed the perfect opportunity, I hope you like my wedding favour and Thank you card set.
My starting point was die cutting the three designs from the So Detailed thinlit set in Blushing Bride (of course 🙂 ). At this point I had no clue what I was going to do with them but I knew I wanted to use them.
I used the Falling Petals embossing folder on my Glassine bag to give it some texture and detail. I folded the top down once and added my die cut by attatching it along the back with some fast fuse.
The second of the So Detailed die cuts was used for my tag, (keep some of the heart cut outs for later) there is actually an oblong space on this that can be stamped on but I wanted to add the Whisper White Stitched shapes oval. I stamped this with a flower design from the Falling for you stamp set stamped off once first and then copper embossed my sentiment. I added some White bakers twine and an embellishment that is part of this lovely suite and clipped this on to the top with a gold binder clip and added a small white bow to one side of the clip.
The last of the three die cuts that are in the set gave me this gorgeous belly band, I again added a stitched shape oval, and stamped this in Blushing Bride using the All Things Thanks stamp set, and added some of the cut out hearts kept from earlier. This was put round a cellophane bag containing 5 sugared almonds.
I wanted this to be very traditional and I always think of sugared almonds with regards to wedding favours. Do you know why it has to be 5 – The sugared almonds are given in batches of 5 because this number can not be divided which symbolises a strong unbreakable bond, with the actual almonds representing health, wealth, happiness, fertility and long life. I love things that have a meaning isn’t it sweet.
Originally that was all I intended to include, but I decided I wanted to add a little 4″ x 4″ Thank You card. Luckily I had die cut 2 of each incase I damaged any (I can be very clumsy 🙂 ) so I used the lovely ‘belly band’ shape again cutting it to fit across the middle of the card, under this is a matt of Whisper White and a layer of Falling in Love DSP.
I again used the All Things Thanks stamp set for my sentiment, it just has the most gorgeous sentiments in it, I added some more of my saved hearts, a bow and a few basic pearls and I was done.
I hope you liked my project as much as I loved making it, if you want to see some more fantastic projects please visit each of the links below, you wont be disappointed these ladies are all so talented.

Lynn x
