Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg : Sale-a-bration Wednesday – Avant Garden with Delicate Details Thank You!
I am back this week with my two favourite Sale-a-bration Freebies, Avant Garden and Delicate Details. I took part in a colour challenge with the team I am in and it was to create a card using 4 given colours, they were Soft Sky, Early Espresso, Peekaboo Peach and Smoky Slate, I thought it would be a great time saving idea to use these colours to create my Sale-a-bration Wednesday project. Two uses for one card, actually its three because I can also use this card for someone!
I used the Avant Garden stamp set to create my own DSP, I stamped the flower with Peekaboo Peach and then stamped it again to get a lighter flower, I repeated this across my DSP then stamped the middle of the flowers in the Early Espresso and used the Soft Sky and Smoky Slate to create the background effect.
I used Soft Sky for my card base with a matt of Peekaboo Peach, on this I used a piece of my DSP on the bottom and Whisper White on the top. The gorgeous lace border was created using the Delicate Details stamp set, I absolutely love this and you will probably all get sick of me using it 🙂 but I just cant help it – and it was FREE yay!
To finish off I added my sentiments using Early Espresso and added an enamel heart, and went to add some thin white ribbon but it didn’t look right, I wanted to use soft sky ribbon but I don’t have any. I suddenly had the urge to try and dye the ribbon with my Soft Sky ink so using a piece of washing up sponge I pressed it into my ink pad then rubbed it along my ribbon till It was evenly coloured. I left it to dry for a few hours (time for a cuppa and a facebook browse 🙂 ) then added it to my card. Love Love Love the way it turned out, will definitely try that again with more colours.
