Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg – Affectionately Yours : Flowers for the Birthday Girl.
Just a quick one today, I have lots to do before I go to Amsterdam on Thursday, I am so excited and can’t wait to tell you all about it when I get back, (not too much though some things I can’t tell or show straight away).
This is the card I made for my swap group this month, the brief was a girl birthday card using Punch Art. For some reason I just could not think of an idea for this one till last week, but as March was quickly coming to an end I had to get my thinking cap on.
I had received a swap for february that had flowers punched out of DSP that I really liked, made by the lovely Nicky May, a fellow pootler and team mate, and I took inspiration from that card. I used a different DSP ‘Affectionately Yours’ for my flowers and also added it as a first layer.
The flowers were punched using the Petite Petals punch and the Pansy punch, all but one of them from the DSP with the other punched from a Copper Foil sheet, which I also used as a matt.
The sentiment is from the Designer Tin of Cards stamp set, this set is so versatile with a huge 33 stamps.
I love this set and use it heaps, I really hope it doesn’t retire the end of May, but if it does I am sure Stampin’ Up! will have something equally amazing I can use instead.
Right I am off to start packing 🙂 🙂
